Tim has served the church as an Appointed Designated Minister since July, 2015. On June 21st, 2018, the Church Board decided to raise him to the rank of Ordained Minister and promote him. Life experience includes giving back to the community, serving our national church in a variety of positions, his education, work history and age. In Tim’s case life experience will be treated as analogous to academic and theological training.
Rainbow Ministry 🌈
In addition to his regular local ministry, Tim will represents our national office in a new Canada wide outreach program to the LGBTQ+ community, called the Rainbow Ministry. This program will offer local, specialized outreach to men and women of the local LGBTQ+ community, with Worship, Sacrament, Counselling, Visitation and Pastoral Care in Vancouver.
As will as being our National Church’s administrative representative in BC, he is charged with leading in worship in a variety of situations, for example, serving as pulpit supply to congregations while a local minister is ill or on holidays. In addition, he is a national pastor to pastors across the Province, in situations of Pastoral Care and Counselling with ministers.
Minister of Life Events(Weddings,Baptisms,Funerals)
A large part of Tim’s ministry is reaching out in a ministry to non-church people. In the past three years he has conducted fifty-two religious ceremonies. He also administers our worship hub in Vancouver.
In addition, Tim continues his pastoral care ministry with visiting and helping the elderly and sick in hospital or seniors facilities. He has acted as chauffeur to special events, visiting them while in the hospital, taking care of their home while they have been ill.
