Rhonda Alton - 2919 - 600x600My Ministerial History

I came to Clergy Support as an Appointed Designated Minister February 3rd 2018.

I am currently the minister to a house church that meets at 6504Sutherland Ave in Powell River BC as well as Well of Grace Ministries.

My original ordaining denomination was the General Assembly of the Church of God in Western Canada in July 2001. Earlier, I was the pastor of Eastside Community Church of God and StreetSide Ministry Centre in Edmonton, AB as well as a pastoral counseling associate at First Church of God between 1984 and 2006.

House Church

I currently serve two house churches. One, the Sunderland House Church in my home in Powell River and a small group of people in Vancouver on a casual basis to worship, sing, pray and share our lives.

There have been many requests that I turn this into a more formal congregation and I’m carefully considering that idea.

Counseling Activities (Spiritual Direction & Relationship Counseling)

I’m a trained pastoral psychotherapist in private practice and my website address is

Pastoral Care Ministries

I’ve spent over three decades helping people to reclaim their innate vitality through a radical and intimate encounter with Unconditional Love. I delight in assisting individuals, couples, families and churches to develop supportive and resilient relationships that are marked by authenticity, intimacy, ease, pleasure and loving kindness. I take ministerial appointments at various locations up and down the Sunshine Coast and in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia.

Minister to the Buddist Community in BC

Part of my ministry as a Christian minister is my focus toward the Tibetan Buddhist of the 1,200 year old Shangpa Kagyu lineage and I am authorized to teach 5 Element Tibetan Tantra. I’m a dancer and I also sing and love playing the Khomus – a Shamans mouth Harp.

Personal Growth and Study

Last December I completed a Certificate in Psychedelic Therapy and Research at the California Institute of Integral Studies. It was my clergy training and therapy training which made me eligible for this course.

I am also completing my studies with the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies which also trains therapists.
