The Clergy Support Memorial Church Board was in full agreement to certify the Rev Arthur Warren to the office of Appointed Designated Minister on May 31, 2019. Arthur’s ministry and life has been focused in counselling. Family and friends naturally turn to him or he lends a helping hand to strangers who have a financial or spiritual need. He is conscientious, hard-working, creative, a problem solver with leadership and public speaking experience.

Church Growth
In addition to his ministry outlined following, Arthur now has an active outreach ministry conducting weddings for non church members via Life Celebrations – Covenant of Marriage, hoping to add them to the Church Fellowship.
Arthur is LGBTQ2 affirming. As the proud father of a gay son, Arthur is pleased to affirm the right of adults to marry those whom they love.
Counselling Ministry
Arthur’s was involved as a counsellor with the Victoria Cool Aid Society in it’s early days. Today Cool Aid provides emergency shelter, supportive housing, integrated health care and other support services for disadvantaged adults.
The Men’s Movement
Rev Arthur has a continuing interest and engagement in the men’s movement, and he is currently working on writing a book on this theme, and how the Christian church might be actively supportive of ministry with and to men.
From 2012 -2018, Arthur dedicated much of his time to help the Church of St Barnabas in Victoria. He took on many roles for the church such as the People’s Warden, Sexton and Treasurer. We believe Arthur’s interest and involvement in the Church served him well in advancing his spiritual development. He remains a member with St Barnabas.
His desire to reach out to strangers and those in need is, in his opinion, the Holy Spirit at work. Helping couples wishing to be married is another way to support others in his community.
Giving Back
Arthur is a monthly donor to a number of not-for-profit charities; Covenant House, Ecojustice, and the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives just to name a few.
Hobbies and personal growth
Arthur is a regular practitioner of TM (transcendental meditation). He taught TM for many years and enjoys the spiritual element of it.
