Worship and Pastoral Care
Dale has been a life-long member (67 years) of the Anglican Church and has given her time to several ministries in her local parish, in which she continues to worship and assist in worship ministries. She currently attends St. Mary’s of the Incarnation in Metchosin and volunteers as a lay reader. She is also part of a team that keeps the records for St. Mary’s the Virgin Cemetery. Dale enjoys performing weddings, baptisms and funerals for everyone, including LGBTQ+. She is pleased to affirm the right of adults to marry those whom they love.
Volunteer Activities
Dale organizes two music activities in her community. She arranges monthly afternoon concerts for the East Sooke Rough Voice Singers and also for the Metchosin Rough Voice Singers. These are very popular as local community members love to sing and visit with their neighbours/newcomers.
Dale is also involved in the UBC Medical Doctors program at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria. She participates in the “First Patient” program where she is teamed with two first year medical students. She is also a volunteer with the Clinical Studies program which involves meeting Jubilee students and their instructors and being a guinea pig for a variety of examination procedures.
Even though Dale lives in East Sooke she is very much involved in volunteering in Metchosin, especially at the Metchosin Fall Fair.
Closing Words
Dale is truly a person who enjoys meeting others and helping them fulfill their dreams. She excels at organization and has a wonderful sense of humor. Couples and familes consider her kind and considerate. She would love to make your special ceremonial occasion one to joyfully remember for years to come.
