Rev. Duane MacTavish has served the Church as an Appointed Designated Minister since the Fall of 2017.
Duane pursued his passion to serve as an Appointed Designated Minister with Clergy Support Memorial Church after he retired to the charming setting of Peachland, BC, right in the heart of the beautiful Okanagan Valley.
About Rev Duane
Living most of his life in Alberta, and with a career in Policing, he was a Detective with the Edmonton police service and later 10 years in crime prevention in Central Okanagan.
Duane is a recipient of the Police Exemplary Service Medal which honours twenty years of full-time exemplary service by Police Officers. Subsequently, he answered a call to Minister.
Duane is a professional and articulate individual where he has great public speaking skills, trained through Toastmasters and his careers.
He and his wife, Lorraine, are passionate about Love, Life and their English Bulldog.
They are big supporters of the Central Okanagan Hospice House, Heart and Stroke Foundation, and the S.P.C.A..
Duane enjoys staying fit by kayaking, swimming and boxing. He loves to spend time travelling with his wife and bulldog, and since his retirement, enjoys culinary adventures in the kitchen.
